Final Reflection

The first thing I did to start this game was find the sprite and background I wanted to use just to get a feel for the theme. There were many snags I ran into in the making of this game. Usually just things that had to be done a little differently than I had expected but for the most part I was able to figure out. For example making the fish seem to swim forward. Rather than making the fish move the blocks had to move across the screen. There was a lot of testing that went into this game. Every time a block was put in I would play the game to make sure it was in the right place and also that if the fish swam into it the game would stop. And I also had to check the placement of all the coins and make sure they increased the score. Testing it could be difficult because in order to test the end I had to make it through the rest of the game first and do it very often. Most of the game worked like I had planned the only thing that did not work correctly was scoring. I added coins at every block or set of blocks that when touched by the fish would add points. However it would not add a single point like I wanted, but it was okay because the score was still increased by the coin. I was proud that so many different elements went into this game and the scripts were so much more complicated than they had been when I first started using scratch and didn't know what I was doing. It shows a lot of improvement in using Scratch.
